07-17-2008 02:16 PM '50 chevy cuttin the windshield
Gave up sand blasting after the compressor died (but I did fix it later)

Used a dremel tool and a silicon carbide grinding stone.
Also had to "massage" the roof a bit for a better fit

Fit;s like a glove, but took a bunch of time

Got a bunch of stuff done this weekend.
Mounted a large 3 core cross flow rad I picked up at the JY out of a 70's impala, almost brand new
Also mocked up the booster and M/C, it should fit.

Welded up some extra holes and a few cracks in the fire wall.

Scrounged around and found the vent windows, looks like I should be able to cut/bend then into shape for the chop

Finished up repairing/cleaning the windshield pinch weld seam.
Built a pressure assist sand blasting bot out of a 5 gal bucket, we'll see how well that works in cutting down the windshield.

It's been a while since I've updated this, Let's see.......
Passangers side B piller is done and so is the door window surround. Had to add a few filler pieces [rolleyes]

Went shopping at my local Pull-a-part and grabed a 3.05:1 8.2" 10 bolt from a 75 coupdevill. Pulled a favor here at work and used the knee mill to drill the correct 5 on 4.75" wheel bolt pattern. (note to self: remeasure EVERYTHING before pulling parts)
The width worked out exactly right using 6" wide S-10 steel wheels.
I think I'll do a mini notch in the frame, make mounts for the stock links and use springs for now.
