06-08-2015 06:04 PM 1930u final AC wiring and dash
I have the AC wiring all finished. I also installed engine harness terminal blocks on the firewall. Today I fired up the Hemi and everything worked perfectly. My wife suggested that I go ahead and paint and finish up the dash since its out for the AC wiring. Makes sense to me. I've decided to go with a gloss black dash.

06-03-2015 07:12 PM 1930u Details
In preparation for my first shake down run I've been looking over the whole car. I had to finish the A/C wiring and also cleaned up all the wiring loose ends so to speak. None of wiring on the firewall will be visible. I'm making a polished stainless steel plate to finish off the firewall and cowl.

I found a minor coolant leak at the thermostat housing and I also went over the brakes front to back. My right angle master cylinder has a couple of bell cranks and two linkages. Adjusting the play in the linkage improved my pedal height and really firmed up the brake pedal too.

05-31-2015 07:52 PM 1930u Front fenders
Today I got back at it working on the old 30u. When I originally made the head light stanchions they were non adjustable. Big mistake on my part! I had to up size to taller tires also increasing the load rating to carry the Hemi. The new tires were just to close to the under side of the fenders and the mounting bolts so I spent most of this morning trying to work things out without having to remake the stanchions. I was able to machine, grind and just flat out bend some things around. It wasn't easy because the stanchions mount to the caliper mounting brackets which are made of 3/8 inch plate steel. All in all it worked out okay. They now have some clearance and are fairly symmetrical. Since I will have to take them off again for paint work later I drilled everything and installed roll pins so all will go back in together the same place. I should have thought this out better during the rough in. Live and learn.

05-29-2015 08:03 PM 1930u Update
It's been sometime since I last posted. I just haven't been working on the Coupe. Last year just flew by and between work and vacations I went on a total of 9 trips last year. I also played with my other cars and worked on a few other projects. The winter was awful too and I really had no desire to heat up the shop and work.

So today I went out and uncovered the Coupe and looked it over. I really need to get it ready for a good shake down run and I will do that soon. Today though I saw many things that I need to touch before driving and other things that I may change.

Here's a front shot with wheels off. Today I revisited the front fender mounts and still have more work to do on them.

09-14-2014 07:59 PM 1930u Windows are in
This weekend I finished cutting and installing all the glass. For now the door glasses are sitting on support stops and I'm rebuilding the original 1930 regulators and making run channels for the bottom of the glass.
