If you look at page one of my journal you will see a picture of the car I'm replicatiing. Interesting story. This picture is the Ford grill shell that they used on the 31 Plymouth PA.

The car was originally done in a deep candy brandy wine color but was changed to a candy tangerine orange in the early 80's.

04-30-2011 07:21 PM 1930u Header concepts
There are not to many options for 392 Hemi headers. Over and outside the frame designs are even harder to find. If you find them their usually in the $1000 plus range and stainless is even more. The ones that I found, I really don't like because their to symetical. I'm going to make my own using stainless. I'm in the mock up mode now. I had a few sets of old headers so I hacked them up to get a few ideas. These pics are what I came up with for the right side. I have to miss the front of the body, the oil filter and also stay away from the front wheels.

04-30-2011 06:59 PM 1930u Winter progress
After rain the whole month of April, over 14" to be exact it finally stopped raining today. I took advantage of the sun and pulled everything out and cleaned winter out of the shop.

04-22-2011 06:47 PM 1930u 392 valve covers
Today I switched out the finned covers for the stock chrome fire power covers. As much as I like the stock ones, I think the finned ones are a better fit for my late 60's early 70's theme.

04-22-2011 06:38 PM 1930u Topped with 1407 Edelbrocks
After much discussion on the forum and a lot of other research, I decided to use my Edelbrock carbs. I still have to rebuild them and set them up for the blower. I always liked the way the AFB carbs looked on a blower. I really want a 4 hole Hilborn but I will have to wait awhile on that purchase $$$$$$$$$$.
