I started the frame last November. It took much longer than I wanted it to but I really didn't work on it at all during the spring/summer. I am going to add a rear Panhard bar too but will wait until the Engine, Trans and body are in place to do that.

11-21-2010 06:31 PM More chassis work
A few shots from today. I measured up the chassis today and all is well. I shifted the rear end a 1/4" left to adjust the tire/shock clearance. The frame height is within a 1/4" all the way around. I will set the final ride height when the body, engine and trans are in place.

11-20-2010 04:09 PM 1930u- Beating a dead horse (chassis)
The second set of shocks came in yesterday. I installed them today. I still need to put on the ΒΌ elliptical springs (traction control). I try to keep it all clean but for now I've given up. I will do a final clean, polish and detail before the body goes back on.

I hope to hit it hard over Thanksgiving.

11-14-2010 05:21 PM 1930u- It's rolling again

Today was productive... the chassis is rolling again. I've mentioned a few times that the frame was hand fabricated by an old school chassis builder 35 plus years ago. Bottom line it was made to go in a straight line. I'm sure this thing is going to ride like a rock wagon and probably handle like a John Deere tractor, but it's so cool I had to leave it all the way it was all those years ago.

The second set of rear shocks are on order and I still have to install the elliptical rear springs.
