12-01-2010 06:26 PM 1930u- Beauty and the Beast
Over the last 5 years I've been gathering parts for the Hemi. The parts are hard to find and costly for a 392, so I had to pace the purchases over a long period of time. I also had all the machine work done along the way.

The blower pistons are .060 over Arias. These $uckers cost a fortune. I could have got off cheaper but I wanted durability and I may try to run this thing on hydrogen at some point in the future. Here's a old and new pic.

I will be dragging the Hemi out of the corner this weekend. Can't wait to get the engine in the cradle.

I started the frame last November. It took much longer than I wanted it to but I really didn't work on it at all during the spring/summer. I am going to add a rear Panhard bar too but will wait until the Engine, Trans and body are in place to do that.

A few shots from today. I measured up the chassis today and all is well. I shifted the rear end a 1/4" left to adjust the tire/shock clearance. The frame height is within a 1/4" all the way around. I will set the final ride height when the body, engine and trans are in place.
