12-31-2010 02:08 PM Seat finished.
Spent a couple hours of the last day of this year finishing the seat in the Diamond T. It's done, rather than just propped in the cab, I'm happy with how it looks, and it's very comfortable. Fits nice. I wonder what it's out of? The rest of the story is @:

12-18-2010 10:43 AM Gentlemen, please be seated.
I've gotten the seat riser/base raised to accept the new seat cushion and back. It looks great and is comfortable, but Holy Cow, is the cab small! More pics and details at my blog:

12-06-2010 07:07 PM IT'S ALIVE!!!
The Diamond T cranks over, ign. is hot, fuel pump runs, all the lighting systems are switched and wires run from front to rear. Nobody is more surprised by all this actually working than I am!

12-03-2010 06:08 AM Tangled.
I'm making some headway with the wiring in the Diamond T. (Well, I THINK it's progress, we'll see when I try to fire that bad boy up!) I've got the underhood fuse panel from the donor Silverado mounted, who's job it is to fuse and organize the engine/ECM. I thought I could use the other circuits for everything else, but way these things are set up doesn't lend itself well to backyard cobbling. Loosely translated, that means I couldn't figure out how to do it, even with schematics and pin-out charts.

11-10-2010 07:56 PM Dash panels
A year ago, I made a stainless dash insert for the Diamond T. It was OK, but didn't fit perfectly, and was sort of disproportionately big for the dash. It only took me this afternoon to whip up a proper sized insert and some really cool matching accent panels. Take a look:
