11-09-2010 07:52 PM Play'n Hookey!
Not only can I blow off working in the shop, I'm evidently a bad influence on my friends too! See how I kept my pals from getting anything done today either, but we had a great time!

11-04-2010 06:30 PM And you thought I wasn't working on this
After weeks of slacking off, I got busy and got quite a bit done on the Diamond T today. I'd gotten the rear fenders, 'glass '35 Auburn Speedster repops of TERRIBLE quality, finshed and fitted, and am finally satisfied with them. The running boards are done aside from metalfinishing on seam. They were originally cab length, I made extensions to make them full length. Maybe would have been easier to make all new boards, but they're done now. The gas tank is in, I really like the way I mounted it, too bad it's hidden! Here's a link to my blog, with more pics and dreary reading...

10-21-2010 05:05 PM Let's go camping!
OK, I know this is a PROJECT journal, but all this stuff was once a project, and even though it's keeping me from working on the two projects I have going (the Diamond T pickup and chopping the top on my T'Bird), I thought I'd share. We went camping for a long weekend last Thursday, and had GREAT time. Since we didn't have anything there newer than 1954, it counts as a Hot Rod weekend, right?

09-28-2010 06:49 AM Caught up in a (Relix) Riot!!!
Last weekend was the "Relix Riot" at the Gilmore Museum in Hickory Corners. Why this isn't already THE biggest show in the midwest is a mystery. It's gotta be the the best kept secret in Hot Rod shows in the country. Heres a link to our weekend, and some pics of our weekend.
