Off topic, but Hot Rodders have to have a daily drive set of wheels, right? Here's my '06 Merc Milan, happily now wearing he same color paint from one end to the other. The lesson here is don't let the guy at the paint counter off the hook when colors don't match.

This has to be the best $4,500 car on the planet. A whisker shy of 30 mpg city, it's comfortable, quiet, and now nice to look at. I have to admit I really like the lines of these cars, they remind of of the little Caddy CTX. Kim has an '09 Fusion that we bought new, so we're a very happy Ford family of cars. Read a little more about this escapade at my blog:

09-15-2010 03:37 PM Progress! Finally.
Nobody got hurt, didn't break or ruin anything, and didn't roll the truck off the jackstands! Hooray! Made some killer looking wheelwells for the box, finessed the fit of the exterior and interior box side panels, and hung it all together. Feels good! There are more pics and windbag writing at my blog:

Cheers!

Here's why it's not good to be complacent in the shop:

Be careful out there!

09-07-2010 08:30 PM I glued my hair to my truck...
That's right, I glued my hair to my truck, but not intentionally. It's hard to do fiberglass work upside down, but I got the mess cleaned up, minus some hair, and the fenders now have a mounting lip to bolt to the box sides. Yea!

Read more about this, and why I'm so far behind schedule at:

08-23-2010 06:44 PM Street Rodders are getting OLD...
I totally slacked off on the Diamond T this week, but we did go to a car show on Saturday. The weather sucked, hardly anybody showed, but we still had a good time. Part of me thinks I should be sad about the passing of this particular show, but, things change, life goes on, and it really doesn't matter. See what we did here:
