While looking at my heads on the block one day. I noticed the manifold rides on the heads so I called Edlebrock and asked their tech what the problem was and he said "Those heads have a rail that interferes with the manifold and you have to grind the heads." OMG I never thought I was going to be able to do it but it turned out rather nice.
The cam that I had a Heck of a time picking out is a Howards Racing cam.
