This evening I've build a quick mock up,to determan the dimentions of the frame. It also showed that I best build a '28 Ford style cowl. Because the windows on my doors are a bit too square for a '32 cowl.
The car won't be ultra low (I intend to ride it ...) Looks to me that the best distance between the ground and lowest frame point
will be 15 centimetres. The body will be channeled over the frame till there's 5 centimetres left visible from the frame.
I just got back, bought this engine. It's a 3500cc (yes, it's metric over here...) Buick with a manual four-speed.
It came out of a Ford Vicky. Should be quiet enough motorisation for what I have in mind
Well,let's kick off.
This sunday my project-garage will be empty again.I sold the '65
VW bus that I just finished. Time too get started on my first rod.
The plan is to build as much as possible from scratsh.
I have four '28 Citroen doors and two quarter panels as a body base. I'll start from there.
First pic shows the style I'm going for. I really like the stance of these types of cars. Mine however will be painted and prepped to drive long distances (in bad weather).Other pics are my panels and doors that I got.
