My cowl arived today. Offcourse I couldn't waith to see how it looks on the car, made a quick mock-up. Looks good. The cowl is suprisenly solid, just some surface rust, no holes.
There's a huge dent on the passenger side, but that will be fixed.
Third pic shows the beginning of a shaft/rear axle support I'm building. There was a thread some time ago on this site, consurning the fact if this support would work (or not) on the car.
As soon as I'm ready with this support I will post more pics of it and explain how genius this little piece is.
engine and gearbox are in. Connecting the gearbox to the engine proved to be a challenge: it wouldn't go into the slot it supposed to go in. After an hour of trying it suddenly jumpt into it's place...bolted it up. Tomorrow I'll build a support brace to connect it to the frame. I also bent some coper(is this the right spelling?) so I can make new sides for the radiator. The old ones where shot. I still have to cut them so they'll fit nice but you get the picture...
I spend the entire afternoon building this one enginemount.
I'm pretty pleased with it...
NOTE TO READER: The weldings on the header are NOT mine, they came with the engine, this issue will be handeled later on.
