Day 1
After $26000 and several hotrod shops and failure at everyone I decided to take my on shot at building my own 1956 F100.
Went to Harbor Freight and bought some hammers and dollys as well as some sandpaper and sanders.
I decided to take a shot at the hood first off.
Alot of real small dents and dings I discovered after the first entire sanding. Hood's now down to bare steel and everything sticks out like a sore thumb. The bottom of the hood still needs sanding but I think I'll take it to the farm shop and sand blast the living shwatt out of it later this week.
Hammered on it some more and decided to order a Shrinking disc from Eastwood. I'll stop here and wait for my disc...meanwhile I made a trip to the book store and spent $120 on books and magazines that had anything to do with bodywork and build a hotrod. I also bought a brand new plasma cutter and Mig welder....and away we go!
Until next entry.
Goodnight!
