I ended up cutting the entire rear jambs and part of the lower quarters out of the car and re built them from scratch.

11-25-2011 10:42 PM The Dreaded Door Jambs....
I realized that one of the reasons the car sat so long,was the fact I really was not sure how to fix the door jambs.I figured out a way to do it and got to it.Luckily,my neighbor has a '38 also.so I was able to get measurements and make patterns from and original car.

11-25-2011 10:35 PM More metal work
Started stripping the old primer and filler.Built the wheel tubs and started filling the other rear floor areas.

11-25-2011 10:31 PM One more change...
Finished up the toe board/fire wall area.Decided to install an air ride system that I had.I also added a set of dropped spindles.

11-25-2011 10:25 PM Other work done...
I removed the old fire wall.Built a new one using an old wheel barrow and flat steel.Made up some fender well headers using parts of some old ones.Moved the m/c assembly from the fire wall to the frame. Pushed it out into the light to check things out.
