08-10-2013 10:07 PM One modification leads to another....
Got the arms fit. Modified them so the bags fit. Now with the narrowed track width, there are a couple of more problems. The shock no longer fits in the stock location because of the bag. The fix for that was to mount the shock behind the arms and to a bracket on the frame. Problem is now the caliper needs that space to turn. Also could use a little more room in front of the arms also for the tire to clear during turns.Decided to re shape the area just in front of the arms, this should give me the room for a shock, and the turning clearance also.

08-10-2013 09:54 PM Now back to our regularly scheduled build....
Been working on the front suspension. The car has a nova sub-frame,and the track was a bit wide. Ordered some narrowed control arms. Bolted them up to check the fit. Found I needed to raise the spring pocket bottom for the bag to sit properly. Ended up cutting the bottom of the pocket off,and flipping it over to become the new"top" for the bag to mount to.

08-10-2013 09:47 PM Guess Its Time for an Update....
Well it seems time is moving alot faster than I am. I seem to have missed most of the summer.....Wanted to update whats been going on. Been working on another project a bit as well as the '38. The other project is a '69 Mustang Fastback. It belongs to a friend of mine.Came from the internet, alot of new sheet metal installed. Nothing really lined up,and the front dog house did not fit. Have gotten all the basic fitting done, now working on the modifications. He is going for a pro touring style. Made some simple carboard cut out wheels to see how large a wheel would fit the look of the car.Rolled it out side to clean up the shop, and got a overall look at the progress.

04-21-2013 07:37 PM Primer and Sunshine.....
Spent some more time working the tail pan,and blocking more of the car. Finally got it close enough to get more primer on the areas I have been working. Took time today to roll it out into the sunshine and look things over better. Pretty happy with the overall look so far.....

04-14-2013 09:06 PM More sanding=more progress......
Still moving forward, spent a while sanding the back and passenger side of the '38. Did some more filler work to the tail pan. Ended up rolling it outside today to clean up the garage, and get a better look at the overall progress.
