With the car back on the ground and new steel wheels,I moved to the engine mounts.the old tube mount was cobbled in and too far forward.So I pulled the motor and got to work. I mocked up the motor with blocks and got ti squared and leveled...

11-25-2011 09:45 PM Rear axle
Cleaned the old brackets of the rear axle.Installed the new ones and squared and reinstalled everything back in the new frame rails.

11-25-2011 09:41 PM Rear Rails
Made the rear rails out of 2x3 box tube. Had to make some of the x member from plate steel and box it in from that way.Put the kick up in the rear rails again to re install the ladder bar system again.

11-25-2011 09:37 PM Out with the old.....
When the saw stopped running,I had removed everything I had done before.Nothing but the outer shell was left behind the center of the frame. It seems when I did the frame the last time,I apparently did not own a tape measure,square or level. So,this time,I started by squaring and leveling everything as best as I could to start with and rebuild from that point....

11-25-2011 09:30 PM The Older I Get,the Better I Was.....
Just like the saying goes,the older I get the better I was.....the '38 was in ALOT worse shape than I remembered. So about a week of looking it over in the garage,trying to decide how to "fix" the problems I could see,the only thing to do was take it apart and start over. Started trimming back the years of old work,finding more and more things that needed redone........
