I really hate block sanding,so in an effort to keep myself motivated,I finished the second round of blocking on the front end panels and had some paint sprayed on them. It also helps me see if all the hours spent blocking are actually doing any good.......

I thought the intake itself needed to be "brighter".Talked to a local powder coating shop, and ended up having the intake ceramic coated with a clear top coat. The first picture is before, the second picture is after coating.

My original carb/intake setup was a edelbrock torker/holley 750 set up.I finally decide to get something I have always wanted......a 3x2 set up.I figured this truck would be a perfect candidate for it.

And a few pics of the heads. The little bit of dirt on the top side of the heads is from being in the shop with the valve covers loose while I have been working on the truck.

The motor I'm using was originally put together in 1995.The original truck was damaged in 1998 by a hail storm and the motor has been sitting in storage mode ever since. The run down on it is as follows:
SBC 350 truck block with 4 bolt mains, steel crank, forged pistons(0.30 over),erson gear drive, comp cams 292 cam and matching valve springs, double hump angle plug heads with 1.60/2.02 stainless steel valves and full roller rockers, screw in studs and guide plates.
I took the motor to work to occupy my spare time and started to tear into it.I am just opening it up to make sure everything is okay, and then reseal it.
I was happy to see what it looked like inside.Almost all of it looks like brand new still.Took a few rags and some carb cleaner and cleaned the rest of it up.
I had also stripped the paint so I can repaint it later....
