After all the digging,cutting,and grinding the cowl vent assembly dropped right into place.

07-03-2009 10:14 PM Digging out the opening....
The previous owner filled the cowl,luckily,he only welded a patch over the opening.All the under structure was still intact.All I had to do was carfully re-open the cowl.....

07-03-2009 10:08 PM Cowl vent install
When I got the 48,the previous owner had already removed the cowl vent assembly and filled the cowl.I wanted to re install it,mainly because I want the extra air when it hot out.Luckily I found a cowl vent assembly on the internet.So I got to work......

06-28-2009 09:20 PM Made some room to work......
Had a chance to move some stuff around today.Was kinda cramped in the area I was working on the 48 in,so today I rolled my 38 out of the shop and put it in the other garage.That way it will be out of the way and not get messed up while Im working on the 48.I moved the 48 over to the big side of the shop.

06-28-2009 09:10 PM Steering column install....
Got a start on my steering column install.The column is a tilt and telescopic one from a late 70's oldsmobile.I stipped of the stuff I didnt need and made the primary bracket to hold it in place in the truck.There will be another mount for it on the firewall.
