With all the old parts removed, its easier to see the basic profile/stance.The wheel base is dictated by the front crossmember to engine clearance.I think the front track width is goning to be just about right also.

05-15-2009 10:22 PM Out with the old......
Finally got the c-10 suspension/cross member assembly removed. You can see the kick up in the frame now, that will let me run a full spring in front, but still have the lowered stance I want.Have alot of holes to weld up too.The entire frame will get fully boxed once all the important pieces are installed on the frame. Started to tear down the '40 front end,and that 1940's grease sure is messy.

05-15-2009 10:15 PM Motor mounts,cross member.....
Got the new motor mounts built. Not the real fancy, but should work pretty good. Also got the new spring perch welded to the new crossmember that I will be putting in,Thought it would be easier to weld the mount on the table.

05-08-2009 10:24 PM Back goes the motor......
Decided it would be easier to replace the fire wall rather than fix it.Also made it a little easier to manuver the motor/trans on the hoist.Trans mount is where it needs to be but the motor is sitting on the c-10 cross member right now, need to build new motor mounts........

Wanted to get the 40 ford front end under the truck.Need to move the motor/trans back 7.5" to clear the new front end and put the motor closer to the fire wall.
