01-14-2012 07:52 PM front lower coners are mostly done---this was a BIG Milestone for me
I finished the RH lower corner (it matches the LH at 90% done)
cut off the front/outside support bracing
screwed on the firewall after grinding to fit
(which I will weld on after the engine and front susp. etc. have all been test fit)

01-11-2012 07:22 PM RF lower front corner repair panel
panel is cut, fitted, and I started welding it in
some of the original sheetmetal is pretty thin
but I had my heart set, at doing this at the fender body line
so I made a small backer on the inside, to help with welding it in
its kinda cheating, but its not much different than putting a flange on one
and overlapping the two panels, (instead of butt welding the two)

01-09-2012 05:01 PM started cutting on the RH front
started cutting out the lower front RH corner
its pretty thin and rotten, but I got most of it
next, will be the hardest part
fitting the repair panel, so it can be welded

finished adj. the body mount/floor support

01-05-2012 09:30 PM made some body mounts/floor crossmember
started to make the front floor support crossmember/body mount
then I found the front door pillars were just too sketchy at the bottom
so I made some doublers to weld into the inside of the bottom
had to make a tarp sandblast tent (no pic) to clean up the lower inside of the pillars so I could weld them in
still have to do some fine tuning, of the height of floor support/body mount
before I can weld it in
it will be cut later, for the trans tunnel
