Whats going to be powering the dodge is a 65 poly fully rebuilt plus 30tho pistons,Kelfords in ChCh done a real nice grind on original cam,Running dual four intake ex states and two rebuilt 500 carters.Box is a833 with comp plus shifter.Also got the knuckle buster stick out of states.Had to have the bearing retainer hole milled to suit larger diameter on the box.Out of interest to others I pulled the 4speed comp plus shifter apart to service and clean,taking it appart was a challenge but putting back together was another animal.Luckily for anyone else struggling to get one of these back together there is a great youtube vid.Just search "Hurst comp plus shifter".Its a great step by step how to.Shed is calling....
Just doing the final touches to the wifes 48 pop.has been a great car to work on.Its going to be her daily drive.Same ol though, the last few stages of any build take forever...Are they ever really finished...Real happy with how the paint contrast has worked out, and has a great stance.Shes running a worked A15 which goes real well and sounds great.Have earned real shed time on doing this first............
Hey to all out there.Doing a 39 dodge four door fast back as a first rod.Have been completing the best part of the rebuild except the structural graft of xj front and rear ends,best left to the experts to please the certifiers.Going to run a 1965 318 poly with dual four intake and 727 trans and mild cam.Project going well as shed time allows with wife and kids hoping to run her in undercoat at NZ,s Americana next year...
