half inch steel plate was used for my fab table. installed 2 inch round tube in the front, axle mount was done in 2 inch squarde tubing. had to be able to clear engine with cross memeber might have to get a flatter spring will see when it loaded.
Replace front frame with 4 inch tube and wanted the front to taper down from just in front of were the steering box will be mounted to just pass to tip of the nose of the car to be covered for front bumper laws.
This took some time had to cut most of the body bolts with sawall,and my home made engine puller from 20 years ago it uses a barge ratchet to lift with, but it works. THis is were i found out that this car has been under water some time in its life. thats when i desided to cut it up,and build my style of a car. That to much rust eat thur on the frame up front.
