12-08-2013 09:24 PM Front fenders cont.
I took a angle grinder and mounted a wire wheel and started to strip the paint and Bondo off. I knew I was in trouble when I found about a ź” of Bondo and that the pocket was rusted worse then I thought.
I started the pocket first. I cut a piece of steel and bent it to fit my tire. I started with two bends one on each side.

12-08-2013 09:21 PM Keep on trucking
After I got my cab back from the painter I realized that it would be easier to install the rear glass and windshield. It was about this time that I realized that I had not got the windshield painted. I got the bed ready along with some assorted other pieces and of course my windshield frame. While I’m waiting for that to get back from the painter I started on the front fenders.
The right front fender had a pocket in it for the spare tire it was badly rusted and I wanted to use a Torque Thruster for the spare I decided to rebuild the pocket to fit the new spare.

11-14-2013 04:41 PM Starting to groom the cab.
I figure that I would be better off to install the windshield and rear window before I set the cab back on the frame. I pulled the parts and found that the rubbers for both windows were broke. I used some Loctite super glue to fasten them together. I then clamped it to my work bench and left it there over night. The next day they were good to go. I cut the heads off 14 ea. 10-32 screws and screwed them through the rubber and into the trim piece. I then took the whole assembly into the cab and festened it with nuts until Iím ready to install the inside trim.

10-18-2013 04:46 PM Got the cab back from the painter
Wednesday I picked my cab up from my painter. I went with PPG Mack Blue and Dark Blue for the trim. Yes that is a vary dark blue it is not black. The fenders and running boards will also be Dark Blue.

10-11-2013 05:37 PM Rusted out bedside pocket cont.
After I got my patch panel made comes the hard part. I laid out for the cut, got out the heavy equipment, took a deep breath, and made the cut. After grinding and fitting and clamping and finally welding. A little grinding and some filler and it will be like new.
