01-20-2013 02:25 PM Frame clean up cont
Upon inspecting the frame after sand blasting I found some areas that were badly pitted. I got some steal and plated the bad areas. Although the frame was only pitted in a couple areas I plated it from cross member to cross member.

01-01-2013 05:50 PM Frame clean up
While had the cab off and waiting for paint to dry (no heat in paint booth) I figured that I might as well clean up the frame. Since this truck had been modified several times over the years I marked all the holes that were no longer needed and welded them shut. I am now in the process of sanding it down for paint or powder coat I am still up in the air on this decision.

01-01-2013 05:48 PM Cab rebuld cont.
I got the cab outside to sand blast and paint the metal behind where the new jambs will be installed. Since I needed to tilt the cab to get to some of the areas I could not get to with the cab in itís upright position. With it outside with good light and a white background I figured that I would snap a few pictures that show how the crane tilts the cab.
I did find some Bondo on the lower edges but not as bad as I expected.

I went into my wood shop the other day and found this wise old bird. It took a few days to evict him but he is out in the wild again.
