Ok here is how I used these aligning pieces. After installing the jams again I added some bolts, heavy washers and some scrap ľĒ stock with ľĒ holes drilled and tighten everything in place which brought the jam in to near perfect alignment. Iíll weld these all together and fill the gap in later.

While fitting the newer jams I found that they were about 5/8Ē shorter than the space needed. after some though I took some careful measurements and bent a piece of metal to fit inside of the window post and the top of the jam. I marked and drilled some holes that I can weld some nuts to the inside of the insert. Iíll bolt this fast to tighten up the fit so that I can weld it in later.

While I waited for the frame to dry and cure I went back to the cab. The new jams had a different door stop than my 36 and didnít come with them. So I decided to weld them shut.

01-20-2013 02:32 PM Heat in paint booth
Keep in mind my paint booth is a temporary homemade plastic one. I built the booth in my new section of the shop. So I bought some ceiling mounted electric ones from Northern Tool. Between them and some 500 watt work lights I was able to bring the temp up by 20* to 60*.
