10-11-2012 02:11 PM Tooting my own horn
I was at a local car show when someone noticed my air tank, he suggested that I should mount a set of air horns. I had an old horn off an old army 2 ton truck just lying around so I cleaned it up and mounted it. It was a little bit loud so I added a regulator. I have no idea what psi Im using I just adjusted until it had a mellow sound.

Of course with a wider fender I needed to widen the mount bracket. The damaged area was right where the bracket mounted.

Of course with a wider fender I needed to widen the mount bracket. The damaged area was right where the bracket mounted. I got a little carried away when I repaired the damage on the inside so I had to grind it down to get the bracket mounted.

When I would wash the truck I always had trouble cleaning the space between the fender and the bed side so I built up the inner edge a little. I applied some of the releasing wax to my desk top and remounted the fender. I placed a piece of nylon rope in the space to seal between the fender and desk top. I then applied a few layers fiberglass and rosin. After a few days I removed it and started to shape it.
