After cutting down the aluminum to the size of the pattern I started to lay out the holes. I started by using a 4 ˝ hole saw. I then drilled and counter sunk 4 holes to mount the plate to my rotary table on the good old 3 in 1 machine. I machined the center hole to 4 5/8” for the transmission. I then started with the 5 1/8” ring that will go into the truck bell.

I needed to make an adapter to mount the Camaro main box to the truck bell. I first started with a piece of cardboard to determine the different bolt patterns and what size of aluminum I would need. I bought a piece of 1” aluminum. If you recall you need to space a T5 back about 5/8” because of the longer input shaft.

This winters project is to build a Camaro world class T5 S10 Non WC T5 Highbred. I got a wc t5 off eBay for parts it turned out that all that was wrong with it was the top cover was broken. That is ok as I will be using the S10 cover any way. The first problem was that the two t5s have different mount bolt patterns. A few years ago I bought a Chevy truck bell housing I didn’t use as it had a larger center hole than the standard GM bell. It has the same mounting bolt patterns as a standard GM bell

My first project was to make a bigger wheel for better leverage.

I have wanted a tubing bender for a while so I decided to build one. I used some scrap steel machined and welded it to make the frame. The rollers took some imagination to make them with my Smithy 3 in 1. After cutting and boring the 2 ˝ round stock I ran into a dilemma.
