Well after sending the 327 block to the machine shop for a cleaning, magna flux and cylinder mic. the prognosis is not good. Block does not have cracks but cylinders are to worn and tapered to bore out so I will be scraping that idea and going with the 350 build.

Finally it's begun. After 10+ years I have begun my 1957 Chevy 3100 step side project. The truck is completely stripped down and off to media blast. Also, frame has been stripped bare but probably going to scrap it and go with a TCI roller. I am stoked! Also stripped motor down this weekend and contemplating to rebuild. Not original motor but it's a 1965 327 2 bolt main.
