07-13-2011 11:01 AM Broken kickdown link
Had to fab a new kickdown linkage after discovering mine broke. It had been bent to allow for clearance issues. New one made out of some aluminum I had around. Seems to be working good.

07-12-2011 12:27 PM Coil failure
After getting engine together I noticed some oil draining from the coil. The coil failed on me shortly after. I discovered that many coils can not run in a horizontal position, as a long time mopar guy the coils are usually on the intake and sitting horizontal. Installed a msd on the firewall (with some relocation of the volt regulator and ignition box).

Did a drive to the shop that did the exhaust and took it to work after.

07-12-2011 12:24 PM Aftermath on oiling issue.
Got a used rocker assembly off a member of the HAMB. 100 +20 shipping
Gasket set $189
Cam Bearings $50
Oil pan drain bolt $7
Dipstick tube $20
End caps for rockers $8

Cleaned out the replacement rockers and got the goop out of them. Put it all together, and no more chirp. Can see oil getting to both sides (lined up and primed with covers off.)

06-21-2011 05:49 AM Spoke with machine shop
Well I spoke with the machine shop and although the build was done 5 years ago they are going to help me out with some of it. They are checking out the head to make sure the new guides, and valves did not get trashed with the rockers.
