Still Chopping. In the area of the roof between the quarter window and the rear window I used a filler piece that was shaped on an English wheel to match the contour of that area.
Once the body was mounted back on the frame with new rubber body mounts, it was time for my biggest decision. Chop or not. I didn't mind the look of the factory roof, and our highway vehicle standards prohibit any excessive roof modification. I had decided that I wanted to chop the roof 2" and retain the factory body reveal that travels between the lower part of the back window and trunk. After a week of research and evenings in the shop planning and drawing on the car how I would accomplish this, I started cutting. I will let the pictures show you what I did.
