03-10-2011 02:51 PM My new project!!
Picked up my next project to start in the spring. Quite different from my last project, this is going to be way more old school. A 1956 Ford F100. The plans for the truck so far are:

Lowering the truck, maybe spring flip the front and rear. I want to keep the original straight axle front end.

Add front disc brakes, and power steering.

For power I got 312 Y block from a 57' TBird, and a 3 spd stick.

Most of the body is staying original other than deleting the spare tire cutout.

Old school smoothie rims. Don't care much for the big oversized wheels on hot rods these days.

A few pics of the finished car. Haven't posted any pics in quite a while.

Got the car into the high 11's. Hoping to get that down to the bottom of the 11's maybe squeeze a high 10 out of it!! We'll see.

This spring I'm installing a 9" rear, 4:11 gears, LockRite locker, split mono leafs and Caltracs. Hoping to better the 60 ft times.

After only a few runs, had a best of 12.23. I have a lot more tuning to go. Still, lots of fun.

11-21-2008 04:02 PM Finally in.
Got it in and wired up. I moved the MSD box under the dash to avoid the heat. After firing it up, noticed I was gonna need baffles in the pans. After I installed baffles, pans wouldn't clear the rockers. So I ended up getting a pair of new aluminum jobs. Too bad, I like those old Edelbrocks
