07-27-2012 10:37 AM 1931 Model A Tudor Sedan - Not Quite a Rat Rod, not Quite a Show Piece
Hello My name is Mason Mattocks, I am 26 years old from Edmond, OK.

Since I was about 12 I have wanted do what I am doing now, build a hot rod. Not just a hot rod you can buy from a catalog but my hot rod, clean, simple and most importantly fast. Over the years I have saved detail photos from things like rally cars, motorcycles, f1 cars, and dragsters, among others to inspire this build. Since March 2010 when I bought the first part I have gotten most all of my parts from craigslist and swap meets. Otherwise it would take me decades to pay retail for parts.

I am currently building the frame. Nothing is very pretty right now but when its all said and done the exterior finish will be silver via either 3M's Brushed Titanium car wrap or brushed raw steel protected with Gibbs rust inhibitor. Theme will be raw steel (no rust!), black and some white. Right now I have the very aggressive goal to finish early June 2013.
