Its getting there, the weather has been nice the last few days so lots has gotten done. Couldn't work most of the winter, but now its thrash until its done. The Th350 is in it now, rebuilt and ready to go. The alternator has been upgraded to a 100amp version, the interior is almost finished, and it has a new set of wheels and tires. The tires are a bit short, but that is ok because they wont rub anywhere. The rear suspension is now tubular so I can mount a sway bar easily, and it should ride nicer too.

I shudder to think what it would have cost me to have shops do all of this work, or any of it for that matter. So far the only thing a shop did was machine work on the engine way back in the mid 90s, and mount/balance the tires.

The goal is have it running and moving under its own power by next Sunday, the day my father in law Dave turns 68.

Just some wiring and plumbing left, only needs a couple window parts for the body to be done. Then interior and a burnout video.

The third pic is how it looked when I started, just for reference.

The front end is all bolted up, and almost all the shiny stuff is on it now. In this yellow it looks like a grandpa car to me. I guess that is ok because a grandpa is going to be driving it next summer.

Got the front end mostly on, doing headlights, wiring and bumper today. Fond some spots that need refinishing, but they can wait till next year. In the spring after some other projects are done, it will get sanded down, all the stuff I missed fixed, and painted again. Shouldnt take more than a week since it doesnt have to come apart very far, just pull some emblems, trim and door handles and reshoot it.

Been thrashing on this for a week now. Finally painted the last of the body parts today. After rebuilding the entire windshield channel, it was a bit off and ended up breaking the glass when I installed it. Annoying but not insurmountable, might have someone else fix it at this point. Hopefully tomorrow I can get the grille and front bumper installed, finish the headlights and then I can get to wiring and plumbing the stuff I dont have done yet. At least it will feel like I am working on a real car instead of a rolling shell that needs a mind numbing amount of work.
