Purchased May 2011 original 68,000 mile 305 car. Trans was replaced with a Summit TH350 before I bought it. Car was donked with lift springs, but still ran the 15x7 Cragar S/S wheels.
First mod - De-donk with 96 Impala SS front springs and sagging 9c1 rears. Gave it a slight rake, but lowered the car 4" from Donk height.
Mod 2 - 8.5" Axle with 3.08 gears. Balanced shortened Driveshaft to accomodate 7.5-8.5" diff change.
Mod 3 - Carb'd 6.0L LQ4 with LS2 rods/pistons and LS2 heads. Added a B&M 2400 stall converter. Ran firstname.lastname@example.org, terrible 2.8s 60'..
Mod 4 - New 94 9c1 frame, all rebuilt with new rubber bushings, new tie rods and ball joints. New 94-96 rear control arms with updated sway bar mounts. Notched rear frame for mini-tub, boxed center section.
Mod 5 - Level 3 4L60E, Yank SS3600 Converter, TCM-2000 trans controller 4.10 gears, Eaton 400# posi, Moser alloy C-clip axles with dual bolt pattern (4.75" and 5") and screw in 1/2" studs.
Mod 6 in the works - Pacesetter Trailblazer SS 1.75" headers, Pypes 3" X-pipe kit with cutouts, late 90's Flowmaster 3 chamber mufflers with Dynomax 2.5" OTA tail pipes.
Mods for later, full EFI, C6 brakes, NASCAR inspired road race suspension.. details TBD.
