Just another "can i get a hp#" thread

Good morning gentlemen.
So as the title says, I'm trying to get a ball park on a combo. Its already assembled, so not many changes are able to happen. But would love some help to determine how its going to perform. Its a few weeks away from actual track times so this is the best I can hope for lol.
383 eagle rotating
Zero decked, 6cc dish flat tops
Cam is 234/244@.050
488/510
Heads are Summit vortec's
175/67cc
Rpm air gap intake
Holley 750 VC
Long tube headers, 3" collectors.

Not that it matters but behind it is a TH350, Hughes 3000stall
342 gear rear
In a first Gen 2wd S10 with a 3100# weight

That's it! Thnks

I don't have desktop dyno or anything but have seen techinspector put in a lot of numbers on here and you should be making at least 400 or more with that combo. I would say between 400-425ish depending how good the heads flow.

Yah, I'm hoping Richard chimes in....its been awhile since I bugged him about dyno Sims lol. I was hoping right around 425hp/450trq and wanted to see his numbers.

If it is tuned properly you should have no problem meeting those power goals at the flywheel.

I'd like to see more gear for a drag application but if you can get it to hook you should be somewhere in the mid to high elevens I'd think.

The truck actually came with an 8.8 ford, 373, 31 spline. Its a bolt in but will need to change wheels due to offset with the wider rear. Its currently a spooled 7.5 rear which I don't suspect is going to be much fun or smart on the street.

Well, it got delivered today. 1984 S10, ext cab short box. With the above mentioned drive train, its clean as hell. Fuel cell, Holley blue, braided front to back, its clean clean. Drove it for the first time. I have no idea what kinda power it makes, but its real real stout. At 50mph when you lay into it it leaves 20ft of tire tracks lol. Bought it sight unsean for 3k delivered from 400miles away. So I'm still up, went from the field vette that I had about 2500$ in, traded for the 40, traded for the TA, spent $1500 on that, sold it for 7k, bought this for 3k.
Hope this thread doesn't get moved as I would love to hear some opinions from the usual suspects

Its hyd cam, not a big fan but its a performer rpm. I went through all the paperwork tonight, the guy spent $500 to have a shop port the heads, so by the time you buy them, and spend that kind of money to "port" them he could have bought far better heads. I don't get some peoples obbsesion with vortec heads. Anyways...rant over.
Yah, he said it weighs in at 3067#, by I'm 300# lol. Yah for sure I will get some numbers up.
I have no idea what it takes to make one of these hook, but currently it will blow the tires off at 50+ MPH and doesn't even dream of hooking lol. It feels far far stronger the my TA did. But nowhere near as pretty.

Battery is in the bed already, along with the cell. Have to do the research to figure out tire sizing and traction aids. Its currently stupid. Took my son around the block last night and was screwing around a bit. It doesn't wheel hop but on the tiny 255's it spins at all speeds, anytime....like were talking 90kph it will spin....its actually not much fun lol. Still hoping Tech chimes in with an opinion on power just to satisfy my curiosity and see what changes could be made.

Sorry gents, had to replace hard drive in this computer in order to do some business. DynoSim is on the hard drive that is now in the drawer.
I'd give it 400 hp and 475 ft/lbs of torque.

those cam figures sound familiar. Edelbrock Performer RPM flat tappet? Had one in my cutlass. Make great power out of the hole with a 3000 stall converter, 3.73 gears and 26" tall tires. I agree with the other people that have posted. With that setup 400hp and 425tq should be easy to come across.
