Kenny, Quincy compressors are the absolute best IMO but they are aimed more toward the industrial market and so they are a bit pricey. For cost vs quality You will not beat Eaton for both dependability and service plus you can count on them to tell the truth about the performance claims which is a rarity these days, IngerSoll Rand two stage outfits are also good but not cheap. If you are looking for a low priced two stage both the Kobalt and the Harbor Freight US General seem to to do well for the cost.
Do yourself a HUGE favor and forget the PVC that stuff is a loser all around. I know you will hear people say it works just fine but it is a fact that it not only is dangerous but it makes it very hard to remove the moisture from the system. Also a zig-zag approach to running the line will create more problems than it will solve. I have sold and installed air systems for over thirty years and I have seen nothing but problems with PVC and have replaced several PVC systems to solve these problems. This stuff is illegal to use for commercial use and is not allowed by either OSHA or MSHA and for a darn good reason!
