Just got a squirrel cage!

My old lady bought it from my uncle at a yard sale for like 30 bucks. Man does it crank out the air.
Now if I ever get the garage cleaned out to make good use of it. LOl Hg

HG that's great. I didn't know you could keep squirels there. Just be careful, they bite.

They make excellent garage fans. Make a frame for it with wheels (on 2 legs only) so you can roll it around. Be sure and build a wire cage around it so you don't get your hands in it.

how big is it?
got a pic?
mt last place had one that was (estimate)3' x3'x3'the cage was probably 31/2 ' dia it would dry out a soaked with sweat t shirt in 2 minuets

I called it BIG BERTHA BLOW J*B

every one who met er was always sooooooooooo very happy to see er
oh yea when you get it set up try tuning the intake sometimes they will increase the rpm's and velocity
im happy for you they are great and quieter than a fan

I'll get the measurements, but I know my uncle used it in a 14X60 trailor he had and it pulled tons of air from one side to another.

Squirrel cage

I have a double outlet and it will cool real well plan on making it a roll around this winter,can't do without it now long enough to modify it.

Take a chunk of plywood & partially cover the intake side (let the suction hold the wood in place). Notice how much harder it blows.
