Just a rant...@%#^$*&
As you know, I dropped a 5.7 into my '93 Silverado. It's a .030 over. Well from the time I first got the engine I had problems with computer, sensoe, etc. Finally got it running and it runs (ran) sweet. Saturday it started cutting out real bad. 4 plugs fouled. All in the right bank, excessive oil consumption, and some blow by. Supposingly the motor has only 1600 miles on a rebuild. So I change plugs, wires, coil, cap. Still a major miss and 3 cylinders are not firing up to par. So I take it to my wifes nephew who is a mechanic. He thinks either the cam went south and/or the people that rebuilt it the first time did not know what they were doing. The ring gaps might be installed wrong. So yesterday, the motor and trans is coming out.Aaaarrggghhh!!!!!!!
