Just a small project

A fellow member from a site I frequent needed a new Bowtie made for his truck. I had to cut ribs into the Bowtie, plus cut the Bowtie insert itself. Normally for the year of his truck, the Bowties are gold, but he was wanting a red Bowtie. Once I cut the ribs in it, then I painted the backside to protect the paint but let it show through.

Very nice. I would never had thought about machining acrylic.

Yes, very cool. I have to admit I like this subject better than what I pictured when I read the title to the thread. I thought for sure it was going to be a rust bucket 40 long 1948 Chevy School bus that was getting a full rebuild!

Yeah, I dig "working" cars like buses and cop cars and the like. Doing a bus would be a blast.
