Resize your images to 600 pixels wide and save them as .jpg files. Then upload.

Pictures are too big

I made a commitment to get you pics, so I will will take lower resolution pics this weekend and upload. I have emailed the pics to many people and they do e-mail one or two at a time. If anyone would like me to e-mail the high res picks to them I will. When I sent the pics to Show Cars My system confirmed he got them. I split them up in small packs. I admit I am not good at computers, so I had my I T guy here at work show me how to do it.

Get your IT guy to show you how to resize the pics you have. It will probably be faster for you.

Right click on the picture, click open with paint, go to stretch-skew at the top, take it to 75% That should take them down small enough, if not, repeat again.

Pictures are too big

Frisco My e-mails are being rejected on your end. My IT guy thinks it's your virus protection. Unlike when I sent the pics to Show Cars I did get rejection notices after about 15 mins when I tried to send them to you. I initially thought they went but then came the notices. My IT guy "Joe" says a 500 meg file should not be a problem. I can send the pics to several other accounts. If I have to I will burn them on CD and overnight them to you or someone else. This is raising a small voice in my head questioning if Show Cars got the files, however I have sent several e-mails asking if he received the pics and I got no response.

Pics came through

The first batch of pics have some pics of the sun shinning through the fiberglass. This stuff is so thin I could stick my finger through. Sorry about the delays but as I said I'm not a computer person.

I like the psychedelic look though the glass

Looks like some amateur work to me. And very rough gelcoat. Looks like they used 80 grit to try and smooth it. Ugh!

When I was looking at fenders, hoods and stuff for my 240 Z from what I remember I could have ordered "Strip vs Street" glass and the Strip (race) stuff would look something like this. It was a lot cheaper, but that's why. Very thin.

Bob- From your pictures it appears that is some of the worst looking fiberglass work I've seen. The veinous looking white streaks are stress cracks from bending, probably from trying to get it unstuck from the mold There are areas that the gelcoat stuck in the mold- those are the crater looking holes with the fibers sticking up out of them. The glass work is inconsistant, resin rich in places, dry in others. The roll out was not done correctly, which resulted in air bubbles. It looks like the outside corners @ the edges where there is a return flange are full of air and broken through. That's just what I can see that is structural and shape related. I can see how wavy that part is from the inside. It looks like they poured resin on the part and set a box on it..To hold it's shape???? Who knows?

I won't even address the finish issues. There is no point. That part would not pass inspection in a porta-potty factory. I 'm serious.

I didn't even look at all your pics. I didn't have to.

I would do as you say and take that part to the shows with a sign. Bob Johnson from showcars unlimited would do himself a favor and refund all of your money plus shipping both ways.

I worked for a fiberglass shop that specialized in fiberglass car bodies and fenders for 12 years as the shop foreman.
I quit in 97 to open my own shop and I still do fiberglass work as part of my business. I'm not advertising, just stating my experience in order to qualify my ability to judge that fiberglass part that you have.

I wouldn't have even let a tech finish out the workday that did work like that, much less ship it out.

I hope Jon gets the owner to see this thread.
Hope this helps, mikey
