My IT guy "Joe" says a 500 meg file should not be a problem. I can send the pics to several other accounts. If I have to I will burn them on CD and overnight them to you or someone else. This is raising a small voice in my head questioning if Show Cars got the files, however I have sent several e-mails asking if he received the pics and I got no response.

I got 12 of the pictures. I will post the resized images but it appears that you have already done that. My mailbox got full and would not accept any more mail. Thanks for sending them.

I can only post five images per posting.

In all honesty, I don't think he even makes them. I think he does the buy/sell deal. Look around at other competitve glass houses. You will see the same pics. The reason I believe this is, I called him 6 weeks ago to ask a question/order, and he returned my call on a Saturday a week and a half later. I found the identical part (and picture) made by Danko in Florida. Good thing he took so long ! I saved some cash !

My suggestion to post the photos would to open a www.photobucket.com account put the photos on an album there and either use the edit feature to down size the photos to fit this website Copy and paste the Irl or just copy and paste the http link and we can click on that to open the page.
I keep just about everything I want to share on Photobucket.
Example = link to my page showing the Roslyn, Rod run last year.
http://smg.photobucket.com/albums/v...LYN%2005%20RUN/
Or an individual photo = http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v...truck%20photos/
oops, not trying to jack the thread but that would be the easy way to show us your photos.
And it never hurts to know who to stay away from and why.

I like the 4 banger with the 1/2 spring front suspension! Looks like that would ride nice.

I did get a response from Showcars

Rob from Showcars called me on the phone and we went over the pictures I sent several weeks, maybe a month ago. I went over all the problems with him. He disagreed with most of the problems. He said if I sent the product back to him he would take a look at it and either repair it and try to sell it for me, send it repaired back to me or give me $100 for my trouble and I keep it like it is. The problem I have with this is the freight $210 each way, I still don't get reimbursed for my product unless he sells it to someone else and I'm supposed to trust him to do what he says he is going to do. In November of 2005 he told me he would ship my hood and bumper cover in six weeks, he told me his molds were good and there would be no mold marks and very little sanding, he made multiple delivery date promises that he did not keep, and I had a horrible time getting him to return my e-mails. Last but not least reason not to trust him is the product he sent me. There is no way anyone would call what I got a quality product. Now he wants me to spend another $210 to send the product back to him and trust I will ever hear from him again. During this phone call I made it clear I disagreed with his reasoning on why the product was the way it is. I made it very clear I just wanted him to reimburse me for all my expenses. If he does that I will announce in all areas the he did the right thing and forever keep my mouth shut about Showcars. Tonight he called me again and for a minute I thought he was going to do the right by me. Then he goes right back to expecting me to pay the freight and trusting him to decide on the product quality. So again I'm suppose to spend $210 more and trust him to do the right thing. Then he made the statement "unless you just want to whine all over the internet" I hung up on him, I know I should have looked over his frustration but I have just had it. I just want to be reimbursed for all my expenses and part silent. Please let me know if I'm being unreasonable. Would you trust him and should I have to pay for the freight again? Does it seem I should have to go to this extent to get him to return my e-mail or call me. He has had the pics and several e-mails for at least three maybe four weeks. Thanks for letting me vent, now I will e-mail him and let him know I just want to be reimbursed.

Bob

Quarterflash

How much $$$$ Are you out right now?

I remember A guy I worked for that had a problem with a mechanic ..
he went & filed a complaint at the sates attorney's office & he didn't pay the guy but put the money into a special account {somehow } at or on the courts authority..

Unfortunately for you ,he already has gotten paid !

If you send the stuff back & do decide to sue him you will have lost your evidence.
Pictures are good but not as good as the crap he calls quality.

IMHO he as already shown his lack of skills & will NOT do what he said he would

His word to me is worthless

I hope this helps some.

Rob Keller makes some really good points.
here's my .02

Wow, what a shyster.
If he misrepresented his product, (which he obviously did), then he should do the right thing and refund you your money and your shipping.
I would if I were in the same situation and was an honest businessman.( I am an honest guy. I actually have refunded money and shipping both ways on one occasion. Honesty is costly sometimes)

He has offered you nothing that will replace that unusable part and you have tried in earnest to come to an agreement that would make you feel compensated. I personally don't think that you are asking too much. It is obvious that Rob Johnson does not.
The fact that he said he will refund your money when he sells the part indicates 2 things to me.
1) he is a crook. A honest man would give you a refund straight away.
2) he will sell that junk part to someone else knowing that it is crap.

I think that you should get serious with amex and see if they can't hit his account for the refund. I doubt if shipping will be included in the refund though. And you may have to ship the part back in order for them to proceed, I don't know.

Did you make mention of this thread and the others?
He may not even care, that is the sad part.

You may just have a sideshow fiberglass part. Tell him that you are going to become his most vociferous new representative. It may not help sales though.
keep us posted
Mikey

You can search existing hotrodding forums for information on previous transactions with this company. That should give you an idea of how to expect them to perform in this situation.

The search form at the top of our list of hotrodding forums is a good tool; just enter the company name. Here's a link: Crankshaft Coalition Master List of Hotrodding Forums.
