Just so everyone is warned about this company. Showcars Unlimited

Just so everyone is warned about this company. I feel like this company flat scammed me. Here is a copy of the latest e-mails I have sent.

Rob
You asked me to send you pictures and I did. I sent you an e-mail asking if you received my pictures and you did not respond. Am I to assume that you are refusing to discuss this issue further? As you can see my camera is not a cheep one, it will accurately show in detail the problems to anyone willing to listen. You know you sent me a worthless product, the pictures clearly show this. I just need you to make this right. I feel you should totally reimburse me for all my expenses and the return shipping to your shop. If you don't want to pay for the return shipping I will toss them in the dumpster here and you can just reimburse me for my expenses to date.

Here is a copy of my original response to the product I received. Why would I want you to send me the fender flairs unless you addressed the original problem? The hood and front cover is so bad I will have to purchase the product again from another company because what you sent me is worthless. Because you did not respond to my first e-mail my wife and I are pursuing this matter through Pay Pal and the appropriate government agencies here.

Thank you two boxes of garbage. The fiberglass is so thin in some areas I can see daylight through it, the panels are extremely wavy, there are multiple deep mold blemishes, and there is no way the panels will come close to fitting. In the thirty years I've spent in the body business I have never seen a poorer product. If you didn't?t have good molds or the expertise to do a quality job you should not have accepted my money or sent my money back to me. As I previously promised I will send all 3500 club members pictures. Your product, with your name will be displayed at all 14 major car shows we attend and every chat site the club can send pictures too. I will not need to bad mouth your company, I will simply put red arrows showing all the problems and let the general public form their own opinions.

Bob

Once he received the pictures and they clearly showed the product to be absolute garbage he has not responded further. Because it took him 6 months to get the product to me Pay Pal will not recognize my dispute. He originally told me I would have my hood and bumper cover in 6 weeks. I feel he played me and the Pay Pal system. Shame on me for trusting him. If anyone is interested in pics I will upload them.

Bob

re: Just so everyone is warned about this company. Showcars Unlimited

Just to clarify:

1. Is this the url of the company to which you're referring: Showcars Bodyparts Unlimited?

2. Is it OK for me to email the company regarding your complaint, and to point them to this thread?

re: Just so everyone is warned about this company. Showcars Unlimited

I was looking for chevelle parts for a friend one time and I saw their ad and it scared me. The part where they said if they didnt have it they would get it. Making molds is somewhat time consuming to do right, and it is not a good sign that a company builds molds as orders are recieved.

Is this a good candidate for a company review?
Is this them?http://hotrodders.com/cgibin/rls/ma...=1&icon-status=

It doesn't look like they are doing a very good job.

It is really too bad that some companies refuse to acknowledge problems with their products. And continue to sell them. Did you use a credit card when you paid paypal? that may give you some recourse.
Sorry for your misfortune,
Mikey

re: Just so everyone is warned about this company. Showcars Unlimited

Yes you may draw Rob's attention to this thread, but before you do that let me bring the pics and upload them tomorrow. I don't want there to be any misunderstanding. If in the end the opinion of this site is that I expected too much or I am being unreasonable I will pull my complaint from all 8 sites I have this complaint running on and publicly apologize to Rob and Show Cars Unlimited. I just want what is right and don't want anyone else to go through this.

Yes it is the same company as Show Cars Body Parts Unlimited and I did use American Express to pay Pay Pal and they are investigating.

There is already a very negative review for this company in the Hotrodders Company Reviews: http://hotrodders.com/cgibin/rls/ma...=1&icon-status= .

re: Just so everyone is warned about this company. Showcars Unlimited

I apologize if I created a redundant thread. If another member has pre-posted a warning about a company should have not posted or should have I added to his post? I'm not a complainer, out of the $30k I have spent on tools and my drag car I have no complaints about anyone else. I seriously respect this site and if I have made a mistake please instruct me.

re: Just so everyone is warned about this company. Showcars Unlimited

if you used Am Ex through PP you will have NO problem getting your $ back, as a matter of fact I've had problems twice, the first I went through PP first and they are about as worthless as bumps on a log, I then contacted Am Ex and got my issue resolved. second time I had a prob....I didnt even contact PP I went straight to Am Ex first. Yeah you'll get a nasty gram from PP saying you "shouldnt" have done that....only reason they dont want you to take it through them first is because they know your card co will back you and not them.... call Am Ex once a week till its taken care of.....and post your pics

Quarter Flash -- no need to apologize at all. Our Hotrodders Company Reviews section contains many reviews. Some companies have numerous reviews. The fact that another member has previously posted a negative review is an indication that this is not an isolated incident.

They have alot of stuff. I must say...

Anyone looked at their model-T section? They sell about the most diverse selection of T's I've ever seen. Touring cars too...but seems like quality control is a problem with them...

The Pictures

Here are the pictures I promised. Some of them may need explanation. If you would like more I can take them this weekend. I gues my files are too large. The limit is 300 and my 10 meg pix pics are 500 plus. Any suggestions?
