Just talked to PAW.

I was chatting with a fella from PAW about my blower buildup and asked him about there SSI cams. He said there made from the same material and basically same places that most major cams are made from.
He coulda told me they were crap and had me spend a bunch more on a Comp or something, so I think He's telling me the truth.
I think Im gonna order my rebuuild kit. Wooo, Hoooo. HG

I think he jury is still out on PAW's people. I asked a question about their cams for hemis and they didn't even know you can't use a 392 cam in a 354. That's basic cam knowledge when it comes to hemis. Maybe they do know Chevy stuff better but from what I've seen I'm not convinced they know how to tie their shoes.

I can't say much for their tech support, but I have had good luck with Super Stock Industries cams and lifters. The ones I bought were usually for mild builds tho

PAW sells quality stuff but their tech support is lacking. They recommended a SSI p/n 10311 (224@.050 and .465 lift) for my mild 350 chevy with 8.5:1 compression. Way too much cam, I had it in for about a week then swapped to a much smaller cam because it had no power below 3000 rpm. That cam would be all right with 10:1 CR but not 8.5:1.

I stopped by PAW a few years ago to pick up a set of forged TRW pistons for a Vette I was working on at the time. They're located just off the 91 freeway in LA. The place is a warehouse with a small office up front. At the time there were about 4 people who did all the phone work and it was very easy to see they were in business to sell parts and would say pretty much whatever the customer wanted to here to sell them something.

The pistons I bought were very good quality and I wound up ordering a set of rebuilt SBC thick casting double hump heads as well.

My advise would be to know what you want before you call them and don't trust their tech support.
