Just what I needed... another project!

I have always liked these old Pontiacs... when I saw this i had to buy it. Came from Pass Christian, MS just days before Katrina... I bought it two weeks ago in TN during the world's longest yard sale...( www.127sale.com )

1950 Catalina convertible coupe... originally a straight 8 with a stick...

It's an old mild custom... lowered, shaved handles, nosed, de-chromed, old lacquer paint with faded pinstriping... pretty cool. No motor or trans... I'm thinking an early Caddy or Olds...

You know that top could use about a 4" haircut, too.

I would have a hard time not trying to duplicate the car, or restore it back to it's glory days.

Nice find,
Tony

You guys still have a lot of nice old stock up that way... I need another '49 Plymouth bumper and some '56 Olds headlights and the front 8" or so of the fenders... lemme know if any are growing in those weeds...

Nice find,

I agree completely... many old customs around here were painted maroon (today it's "burgundy")...I love the old striping. I can see this thing with a maroon and white tuck and roll with a white headliner.... maroon and white or black dash...
