kick down cable

I have a 69 chevy pickup with a 350 trans. in it. someone in a hury to take out the engine cut the cable where it hooks to the carb. Well one would think,no big deal, I will just buy a new one. Guess what, there are none. I went to all parts outlets including napa, and on line to LMC,jegs trans.shops, and noda. I have 3 hanging in my garage, but this one has a smaller end on it that goes into the transmission, and the hold down bolt is closer to the hole so that almost aliminates me from making one of mine work. But I thought of you guys and I said to myself, maby some one can tell me if there is a kit you can buy that will let you fabricate your own.Or even better, tell me I did't look hard enough and where I can buy one. Thanks for reading this ,wishing, againe.

I think the parts guys werent looking hard enough.
I cant believe a tranny shop couldnt hook you up.
Its amazing what guys will chop thinking it will save them time.
All it needed was unhooked at the carb, pull one bolt and unhook the hook at the bottom. Probably would have been easier than hacking through a cable
Fact is stranger than Fiction
