kick panels how to install them
i have a 1955 thunderbird and am trying to install kick panels, i have the panels from concours and i can see no way of mounting them to the kick panel wall, i do not want to use screws.
i am not sure if they use glue or what, i am hoping that some one here has done this before and can help me out with what they used or what they would recommend, i can not find any thing on how it is suppose to be done so any help would be grate. thank you for the help. rick |
Kick panels
Your Bird should be like my '54 Customline, there should be a rail that they slide into which pushes the outside against the carpet, some times they are rusted off as they are thin and people remove them.

i just went out to look at the kick panel and i don't see any rail or nothing like one i will try and take a photo of the wall in the car and maybe some one can tell me how they work.
thank you for the help |
Check out this thread CLICK HERE This thread is about door panels, but the fasteners mentioned will work on kick panels also. If your kick panels are already made, you might have to glue a second layer on the back to attach your fasteners to so they can be hidden.
