kirker base/clear question
I've been searching and can't find the answer. I'm painting my hood on my daily driver with kirker super jet black paint. I painted my hood a couple days ago and I had some orange peel in the base so I sanded it with 600. I have clear that came in the kit and was wondering if I could just put the clear on the sanded basecoat (the tech sheet says to to sand the surface with 600 if the paint is cured before clearing) but I'm worried that it won't fill the sand marks. Or should I put another coat of base then clear it after it flashes?
It says I need to wait 8 hours until I color sand/polish the clear but would 24 hours be ok? Last edited by nrs2420; 08-24-2012 at 02:27 PM. |
