I've used it and like it. Know other people that use it and like it. I've used it as a sealer and on several ocasions used it as a sandable primer with good results.

Now here comes the SPI loving, Kirker hating posts in 3, 2, and 1 ...........

Just remember that people who promote SPI and bash Kirker have probably never used the kirker paint.

67goat, my advice would be to get with your jogger to discuss paint products. not many professionals are going to offer advice on paint products here anymore . each time we do we must endure the tyrannical tantrums thrown by those we do not agree with. i welcome anyones opinion on paint products as it saves me the trouble of wasting money trying them. in the custom van industry we received cases of products weekly with promises they would cure all ills. after a while we simply gave the stuff away as most failed miserably in tests. cheaper paints are just that . cheaper. less resin more filler. it's perfectly acceptable to use cheaper products on your own projects but don't expect them to perform as top shelf materials. and never stake you reputation on them .

careful jc you'll have the whiny police on you again.

I use Kirker epoxy all the time. Sprays nice and holds up well. Don't see any reason to pay more as Kirker is well priced. I believe any epoxy you use will work well.Just as long as you follow the directions.
Isn't it nice to live in a country where we can all have different opinions.

I too have used and like the Kirker epoxy. Sprays nice and covers well. Replaced the wheelwells on the son's truck bed last fall and he's been driving it since saving up for paint and it's doing fine keeping things covered.

Didn't someone awhile back say that the Kirker required an etch coat before application of the epoxy?

I use Kirker epoxy and like it very much. They have it on ebay also and a good deal for 2 gal of epoxy primer , and sands well also if needed. I'm also going to try their new Kandy Colors too.

Take Care
Earl

I used it, and it worked very well. It sprayed nicely and provided a nice starting point for the rest of the body work and 2K primer.

tried it over the weekend and i have to tell, i like it, im not sure it is as quite as good as barrys epoxy but man it lays out nice, ive tested a panel for corrosion resistance, i will let you guys know, but again for a 2 gallon kit off ebay you cant beat the price i got mine in black but it comes in grey also, i think i paid 77.00 for a gallon of epoxy prime and the catalyst, that was shipped to the door in two days!!!! i am very pleased with the results of it so far, mike.

I've used Kirker epoxy primer numerous times and love it. There maybe better products but I've had nothing but success with the Kirker and the price is great.

I'm interested to hear how the Kirker candy paints work. My understanding is that they are more like the HOK Kandy Base Coats than a true candy but I haven't used it myself so I don't know if that is true or not.
