You should find (2) just under the intake manifold with the plug in the rear. one plug on a small harness that leads to both sensors.

i went to advanced auto parts so they could scan my truck with the diagnostic code thing and it said that there was a problem with the knock sensor and im tryin to look for it. and just to make sure what are the side effects of a no good knock sensor

I guess there is a first for everything, I've never personally seen a bad knock but its verry possible, the effects of a bad knock sensor could vary like timing retard and such. But there are 2 knoc sensors screwed in to the knock sensor plate which is located under the intake, they are pluged in to a small harness that leads to the rear of the intake, its a small plug mabe you could just un-plug and plug back and try scan again or re-boot comp. what is it acting like?

when i stomp it at a dead stop it doesnt respond like it used to before it would take off burnin out alot and accelarate quick now it jus takes off really slow and revs up super slow what do u think?

I gotta go for now but try to find someone with a tech II scanner with a good understanding how to use it and i'm sure you'll get to the bottom of it.

You could have another issue causing a problem and making the engine ping setting off the knock sensor. Like a chain reaction it will all go down hill. I personally never have seen a bad knock sensor.
