L31 Harmonic damper
Can I put a 6.75" SBC damper on a Vortec instead of the stock 8" one? Is there something on the crank that wouldn't let it go on all the way?

I guess according to that thread I will need to pull that reluctor wheel off to let the older damper fit all the way back.
Does that sound right?

As long as the motor isnt fuel injected! The computer relies on that reluctor ring and crankshaft position sensor to control fuel and timing!

It's going in our 48 Willys station wagon. Going to put a TBI on it with a 747 ECM.
