ladder bars on a 67 camaro

Im going to change out the leafs for a ladder bar coil over setup in my 67 camaro. It will have a 2-3" mini tub.. My question is i did some measuring with the stock rear end as it sit from the factory and from the edge of the rear end housing to possibly where the crossbrace would be for the ladder bars, measures about 25" roughly, most ladde bars are 32" or longer, so what is the best route for this project, make my own, which i can do or can the 32" bar work? or is there something im missing and i dont know it to make a 32 bar work.

When you make this kind of conversion, it's pretty much a given that custom fabrication will be in order. Is this a (designed) pre-built kit or are you using randomly chosen parts?

Competition style Ladder Bars or a 4-link are going to require some floor pan modifications for clearance to get everything to fit, neither will fit under a totally stock floor pan.

If you don't want to modify the stock floor, a Cal-Trac bar set-up with the correct leaf spring will hook just as good as Ladders. Check them out.

A 24-25" ladder bar is going to have too short an instant center to work effectively.
